Education Committee

Education in psychosomatic obstetrics and gynaecology has always been one of the pillars of ISPOG. While Jonathan Schaffir (USA) has served for many years with continuous and strong effort to promote education throughout the society and beyond, he has passed the baton to M.Caroline Vos (the Netherlands). Building of the previous work in the past years, ISPOG’s ambition is to continue work on education as one of it’s main topics.
ISPOG is currently in the process of creating the second and renewed edition of the Bio-psycho-social obstetrics and gynaecology book by Springer which will be available as open access. This will provide ISPOG with a great tool for education. Moreover, the ambition of the education committee is to create educational frameworks both for doctors as well as for psychologists on all levels of training.

Educational Aims

Principle goal of ISPOG
The principle goal of ISPOG with regard to education is “to promote the access to a psychosomatic approach for all Ob/Gyn health care providers in order to fulfill the needs of the patients they treat and/or care for”.
Our educational goals are the following:
- To develop an E-learning Academy
- To provide access to the talks of psychosomatic symposia/congresses by means of webcasts
- To offer and encourage workshops to give members the opportunity to experience the psychosomatic approach personally
Educational Modules

Educational Material
Educational modules are brief modules on a variety of topics that are focused, case-based, and practical. These modules are peer-reviewed by specialty editors. We invite ISPOG members with expertise in particular areas to submit modules for review. Incoming modules are uploaded in a step-by-step process.
